The Champagne Society

The Champagne Society is a student film directed by Jonny Gillette in 2003 that happens to feature me in a small, supporting role as Sugarplum O’Reilly.  The film was easily the best in that graduating class and went on to win a little bit of acclaim at some festivals around the country but that’s about it.  Now, Jonny is on the eve of the theatrical debut of his feature film National Lampoon’s The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell and he’s also a member of the extremely web-popular comedy troupe Poykpac.  With all that success he’s apparently been afforded the opportunity to turn his little short (and pet project) into a feature that he’s been working on for the better part of five years.  At my birthday party two months ago he said I could reprise my small, supporting role and if that was just drunken politeness then he is in trouble because I am gonna hold him to it.

In the meantime, check out the movie below and see for yourself what could await on the big screen in 2009.
